Well I think we are pretty much ready to dive into the rehearsal process! I have emailed contracts to those who get them so if you expected a contract and did not get one please let me know. Many of you have done this for years and I will remind you that the rehearsal process is crucial to forming the ensemble. This is an ensemble show! It is our determination to support and elevate our selves and our cast mates that truly make us the Dickens Christmas family. Your directors and I will do everything we can to ensure that your experience is positive and hopefully filled with growth, discovery and joy!
Here are a few things I will be reminding you of quite a bit. These are our guidelines and must be followed.
Do not use the facebook cast page for work info. Work info ie notes, schedule changes, conflicts must be by email.
If you have not replied to let me know if you are returning, please do so! Don’t assume I know. Even if you posted it on facebook. If you are not returning and are receiving this note let me know so I can take you off the list. Once I have the list finalized I’ll see that everyone gets a contact sheet.
Orientation rehearsal is Saturday, Nov 2, noon - 4:00pm with a lunch break. This is for our first time players, although everyone is welcome! We will focus on the basics and music. Please bring your paperwork for Brett! It is vital that anyone 16 years old or younger has the consent forms signed by your parent. I know some of you are not available so just get the forms to us the following weekend. I have attached the forms to this email.
Full cast rehearsals begin Saturday, Nov 9th!
Remember to send all scheduling conflicts to both Brett bn(at)rochester.rr.com and me. Brett is the Production Manager and handles the paperwork.
You may bring your lunch or go into town to purchase something. Please be respectful of our space. We are guests in the church and must always leave it cleaner than we find it. I‘m not kidding.
Rehearsal is scheduled until 5:00pm. There will be days you will be released at 4:00pm. We will always try to to keep parents up to date for pickup times.Sunday, Nov 2 everyone will be released at 4:00pm. Please make sure your ride knows to be there at 4:00pm! Parents please be on time for pick up. We will not leave any child unattended so that means one of us will wait and we all have things to do.
Please take the time to read these notes. Most of your questions will be answered in these notes and I will start putting these notes on the blog so you may reference them at any time.
