Hi kids!
I just have two say we have had a great opening weekend so far! I’m so proud of all of you for doing the work, beating your fears, and getting out there and killing it! I’ve gotten so many compliments on all of you! Well done.
Tomorrow there will not be a band, and there will be horses.
Please do not loose track of time. We must be where we need to be when we need to be there. Not only our visitors are affected by the schedule, but your fellow cast members are also counting on the schedule.
If you are given a note by a staff member do not take it personally. We are not trying to hurt or shame you. We are just trying to maintain the highest level of performance for the show. All you should do is take the note and apply it to your performance.
We really need everyone to increase your volume. Always face the audience when speaking and project your voice so the person at the very back of the crowd can hear you!
Next Friday is Skaneateles Sings. This is not mandatory but it is a really fun evening. The call is 5:30 and the show is at 6:00pm. We will open at the gazebo and sing some carols, hear some talking, applaud the Girl Scouts who also sing some carols, light the tree and then we can carol our way to the Methodist Church where will will visit with Father Christmas, watch a magic show, watch Punch and Judy and enjoy some refreshments! We will be done before 8:00pm. Please join us!
Remember to dress for the weather! Check the forecast. There may be snow and high winds Bring a change of socks! Wear multiple layers! Keeping your self warm and safe is very important. The Historical Society Museum at the Creamery is a great place to pop in, sing a carol, use the bathroom, have some water and warm up! We want to make sure not to many characters are taking breaks all at once. If you go into the green room for lunch and there are 6 people in there you may want to go back out for a few minutes. If you are in the green room and some new people come in you may want to head back out to give them a chance.
Next Saturday we are all invited to the Byrons Chili dinner! It is a lovely time in the Lees beautiful home where we can relax by the fire, eat a couple of bowls of wonderful chili and enjoy friendly conversation with pleasant company! Byron will bring in the particulars next week!
The radio play this year is Miracle on 34th Street. We will do a read through in the green room next Sunday, 12/07. If you are interested in performing in the radio play please let me know and plan on staying next Sunday till 6:30. I will have scripts and a tentative cast list then. There will be a tech rehearsal on Friday 12/12 at the Auburn Public Theater beginning at 6:00pm and ending at 9:00pm. The show will be at the Auburn Public theater on Sat 12/13. Call is 6:00pm, Show is 7:00pm- done by 9:00pm.
That’s it for tonight. Get some rest and we see you tomorrow when we will do it all again!
Cheers!
Jim
