Hi kids!
Woo Hoo! We are done rehearsing and we are so ready to get out there and meet our audience!
Here are some notes!
Friday’s call time is 10:30am to allow for costuming issues and being ready for the Worlds Smallest Parade! Those with make up needs may arrive earlier to give Eileen a chance to fix them up! The Mayor will be riding in the carriage with the Royalty!
I hope those of you who drive picked up your Dickens Cast parking page to put in your dash board. There has been some confusion about parking. We should park where we always have, around the Village office. We will deal with the horse wagon the best we can. I’m still unclear how that will affect us. If there are no spaces I encourage you to drop your stuff off at the green room and then park in the back of the main parking lot, back by Byrne Dairy, then walk over to the green room.
Remember to dress for the weather! Check the forecast. There may be snow and high winds Bring a change of socks! Wear multiple layers! Keeping your self warm and safe is very important. The Historical Society Museum at the Creamery is a great place to pop in, sing a carol, use the bathroom, have some water and warm up! We want to make sure not to many characters are taking breaks all at once. If you go into the green room for lunch and there are 6 people in there you may want to go back out for a few minutes. If you are in the green room and some new people come in you may want to head back out to give them a chance.
Friday morning is apt to be a little hectic. Everyone needs to remain calm and be patient! Especially me!
A few of us were on Bridge Street this morning. Here is the link if you want to see how we did:
Don’t forget to pick up after yourself. Remember we are guests! Keep the bathrooms clean!
Remember that Dickens is a safe place. I will abide no negative behaviors. We are all in this together and our goal is always to support and uplift the show, ourselves and each other!
Have the best Thanksgiving ever. I am so grateful to get to work with all of you!
I’ll see you all Friday!
Cheers!
Jim
