Director Note 11/08/25

 Hi Kids,

I just spoke with Maria and it sounds like rehearsals went well and we are off to a great start!

Please remember that casting has specific needs. You may be called upon to join a family group to make the rule of three work out for example. We do our best to accommodate your wishes, but the show is the priority! If you didn’t show up today but you are still going to join us, please let us know. It’s ok to change your mind but I want to keep this list updated! 

Here are some reminders regarding email. The DickensFestival (dickensstaff@gmail.com) is me. I would appreciate it if you would always start your subject line with DCS 2025, then write what your subject is about. This lets my email filters put your note where I will find it. 

Also, please feel free to email the specific directors with questions or suggestions. I would like to be cc’d the emails so I’m not caught by surprise. I won’t interfere, it just helps me know what’s happening!

Any scheduling conflicts or changes should be sent to Brett, our production manager. He’s really good at keeping track of things!

Please reply with an ok or thumbs up or thanks when you receive these notes. After a bit I will start hiding the whole list, but you may want to keep at least one of these early notes so that you may reply all to reach the whole group to share some big news!

Have even more fun tomorrow! Remember, our job is to elevate our guests, ourselves, our partners and the show! Never make jokes at another's expense or say hurtful things. Only positive choices!
