Revels Set List week 4!

 Hi friends,

well, the Christmas song John and I are currently singing is " All I Want for Christmas is a New Safe Car" .  My Honda baby was towed away to the great car beyond.  Ah well.. there are always silver linings to everything.. Maybe the new car will have seat warmers!

Sorry for the delay but here is the 4 week music info. Please remember to hydrate. Singing in the cold is difficult so wear something that can keep your mouth and nose as warm as possible as much as possible.

Director Note 12/18/2024

 Hi Kids!

Well that was a chilly weekend!
Thanks for all of your work and tenacity putting up with the cold! Great job!

It’s going to be cold again this weekend! Odds are we may hold the Revels in the ally by the Masonic Temple Building. Depends on the wind. Please take care of yourselves in the cold. Wrap your necks with a scarf to protect your voice! Use hand warmers inside your gloves! We need you all healthy!

Good news! Father Christmas has returned  from the North Pole and will be with us this weekend! Christmas is SAVED!

Don’t forget the Pot Luck Cast Party on Sunday! I over bought stuff for the Fezziwigs Ball so there will be LOTS of cubed cheese at the party! Don’t bring cheese! I’m still bringing ham! We recommend bringing your own place settings to reduce our using disposables! We just bring our plates and stuff in a bag and take everything home to wash it. Your families are invited to join us of course! The party lasts from 4:30 - 6:00 at the Methodist Church on Jordan St. Please drop off your food at the Church between 10:30 and 11:00am. Our friends Ray and Viv Lessaongang will be there to collect it. Please include warming instructions and it helps if you have an ingredient list so we don’t hurt anyone with food allergies!

Saturday night is the Radio Play in Auburn! Tell all your peeps! Tickets are available online:

Tuesday is Christmas Eve. We will open as usual, but we end after the Revels at 2:30. It’s a busy day for folks doing last minute shopping, but there are lots of folks who come to join in the caroling to celebrate Christmas Eve with us. It’s become their family tradition. It’s a very heart warming day so I hope you can all join us! Let Brett know if you can’t.

That’s it for now! Take good care and well see you Saturday!

Cheers!
Jim

Director Note 12/10

 Hi Kids!

Wow! That was an interesting weekend.

First and foremost I am so grateful the our Prince Albert is fine and taking good care of himself and should be with us for the weekend! He suffered a severe drop in blood sugar on Sunday and luckily was very quickly taken care of by the paramedics! Thanks to the Queen, Princess Vicky and John McLaughlin Jr and the Constable for quick thinking and action! Whew!

Now for the notes.

Thanks to Byron and the Lee family for another fabulous Chili Dinner! Your kindness is inspiring!

Great job selling papers kids! Raising almost $500 is wonderful! Thanks.

Please do not tell children to go get their bells early for the Revels. Mrs O’Hara only has so many and she would like to be the one telling kids about the bells!

Please remember we are guests at the Village Hall so please keep the restrooms clean!

Please note that there are shops who are not sponsors. We want to reward our sponsors with caroling so please be aware of that. The big First National shop is not a sponsor. I know the bench right in front of them is a nice spot to sing, but please find another place.

Don’t forget that the Creamery Historical Museum on Hannum Street is a wonderful ally. They have nice restrooms, water and warmth! Stop in and sing a song and enjoy the space!

Don’t forget to sign up for the Cast Party Pot Luck! Brett has the list so bring your favorite dish! It’s helpful to attach an ingredient list so folks with food restrictions know what’s in there! The party is Sunday the 22nd after work at the Methodist Church. Your families are invited to join us!

On Saturday I will be arriving late. Maria will handle notes. If I’m not there for the opening, start without me!
Also Saturday after work we will be having a read through rehearsal of the radio play. If you are not involved in that please be respectful that we are working.

Victoria will not be there on Sunday so Patrick will be handling music.

That’s it for now. See you Saturday!
Cheers!
Jim
