Director Note 11/17 Final Rehearsal!

Hi kids!

Saturdays rehearsal will be at the church. There will be people baking sweet potato pies in the kitchen but other than smells it shouldn’t bother us! We will rehearse until 4:30pm.

Sunday will be in the green room. It will be cold. Please dress warmly as we will be walking around the village and spending time outside running through our opening and the Revels! Layers and warm socks and shoes will be necessary!  The good news is we can eat in the green room and there is a grocery store right next door! Lunch break will be shorter and we will be finished at 4:00pm. 

I always find it exciting to reach the final rehearsal and really anticipate opening!

There will be some new faces this weekend, John Decker, Assc. Director who plays Mr Scrooge and Patrick Glaub Assc Music Director who plays Washington Irving will be here. We also welcome back Caroline McSwain! Ed Becker has accepted the role of Mayor Fezziwig. It’s going to be a great season!

I need to take a minute and reiterate our covid policy. This policy, written by Maria and myself,  has been accepted by the Village Board and is our contract with them to ensure the safety of all. This policy applies to everyone  who joins us. Those people who chose not to join us based on this policy will be welcomed back when the policy is no longer needed. No one may represent themselves as a Dickens Christmas character without adhering to the policy. Please understand that I feel very strongly about our agreement with the Village and our commitment to the well being of all. If you do see someone who presents themselves as a Dickens character treat them as you would any guest in the village, but please use their real name and not a character name.
