Director Notes 11/27/10

Hello!
Another fabulous day! I love watching everyone get their feet under them. Our improv muscles need exercise too! I want to thank everyone who came to Auburn tonight and either sang at Wegmans, walked in the parade or both! Thank you 50 times! It was really fun and we are always a big hit!

Please remember you must speak to the people in the street, our guests. Even if you are chatting to your family members in character about the Hollywell's goose or the Fezziwig's party you must be aware of people walking by. Make eye contact with them and say Hello! Good day! Happy Christmas! Any little thing but you must acknowledge them and let them know you see them. It's really what creates the magic. You are on stage the moment you are outside the dressing room door. The hallway is public.

Check your caroling group schedule! That schedule takes priority. If I ask you to ring the Salvation army bell or count at the library and it interferes with your caroling group please let me know.

Good job with the awareness of other bits!

Keep your stuff organized and your clothes on your hangars. We will have another rack tomorrow (if Brett remembers) that will be easier to reach for our young folks!

We must not stay bunched up in big groups. Three or four characters are enough for a group and we need to cover the whole town. I have neglected to mention the Town Center Hardware store needs to be on our loop! They are a bit of a walk past the Tops, but if you stop in at Tops on the way up and Creekside on the way back it's easy! Go in say hello and sing 2 songs.

The Thistle Dew shop next to Blue Danube is new and we need to support them so they can become sponsors! It is ok to sing there even though there is no sponsor decal.

Everyone is doing a great job! Keep it up! The Revels are so wonderful people are driving into each other! That fender bender at the crosswalk is just another reminder to take good care of yourselves and each other as you walk around town.

Get some rest so we can do it all again!
xoxo
